Yesterday's Hunt.

Figured I get up early yesterday and make a early round in the Mtns before we headed for home. Got out of the truck and turned the Astro on and my batteries were dead. Jumped back in the truck and rode down to a store and headed back for the woods..... Should have headed for the house. Turned the dogs loose they go about 75 yards and tree up a big Oak, couldn't find the sq. Headed on up the Lynn and came out on a trail... Put the .22 on my shoulder to catch my breath for a second and turned to walk up the trail..... That's when IT HAPPENED!!! The .22 fell to the ground with a CRACK!

A Ruger 10/22 broke in half just by falling off your shoulder? I've got one myself, and although I've never dropped it, I'd think that they'd be built a little more rugged than that.
Anyway, sorry about your gun Dennis.

Michael

Oh MAN!

Dennis,

When yo first said it fell with a crack... I was afraid you'd shot your leg... or a dawg or... I was relieved to see that, as much as it stinks... just the gun broke!

Some days... it just doesn't go right... Just glad it was only THAT bad!!!!!
Heather

I've actually fallen with it before and knocked the scope off the mounts but had never seen this before. I'm not even sure how it hit but it had to have hit JUST right.
