i switched from hounds to treeing curs 4 yrs ago and i have never enjoyed hunting more. they tree hard and hunt like a cur. i hunt the kovacs amazing cur line and have been more than happy. i have even bred within their line and had great results. coon at night squirrel by day. what more can you ask for. they have a little more stick on the tree than most straight curs (not all Curs fellas) but most. i like a hard tree dog and that what they deliver.

The 2 that I have are Streak,Kemmer and Nocturnal Nailor bred. They are 4 months old and are doing great, showing to be intense tree dogs!! But with yard dog sense!

i have two that goes to rat attack and 1 that is x jr bred. dads were both jam on coon and squirrel and i love it. got a great handle on them and all it takes is a whistle and we are loading up to go home. they range a little deeper on coon but hunt fairly close on squirrel. glad you like them

Hey, I just bought a Female Treeing Cur (Walker x English Pointer) today that will Coon hunt all night and then switch to Squirrels all day. I'm wanting to breed her later on to a Stephens Cur. I think I'm going to like this breed. They have the drive and nose of a hound and the brains of a Cur. MAYBE THIS IS THE SUPER BREED!!!!!! LOL.

lol this makes all the Mountain cur people sick. i love a mt cur and plan to breed one to my amazing tack factor dog this spring. give a little punch of cur back into them. this will make this cross 3/4 cur 1/4 hound. i had thought about the bird dog, but for me it gets away from the cur/hound cross i like. im not a breeder, and what i do raise i cross what i would want to hunt. and have had pretty good success to this point. but i always have to go to the master of this line of cur mr ray and pick his brain for what has cross well to this line in the past. he has spent a lot of time and money over the years creating what i call a breed of cur not just crossed up dogs. whatever you do stay true to your breeding and breed what is best for your line and the line you choose to hunt. we all need to practice smart breeding in every line of cur or hound.

wE HUNT FEIST ON SQ AND TREEING CURS ON COON. I like 3 4ths cur 1 4th hound best. I like the hound being Hard Knocking Tom and I like putting it there by way of Jammin' Bo. He is a great reproducer and I believe the all time winningest sq dog to boot.

i love the tree that my dogs have. my male amazing tack factor, gets in a zone treeing and sometimes never hears the gun go off. had squirrels hit the ground beside him and he never stopped treeing. and super loud. my other male barks a solid ringing chop until you get there then waits for something to fall. and my old female just does it all good. not perfect by no means but i am well satisfied.

I hunt a male that's out of a double Streak bred yellow cur female
and his daddy is a hound off of Hardwood Elvis Attack.
He looks like a cur , hunts like a cur , handles like a cur, silent on
squirrel, semi -open on coon , but will locate with a bawl most of
the time like a hound and is a hard tree dog with the tree style
more so like a hound.
He's a fun dog to hunt and I LIKE HIM!!

my dogs as well are silent on squirrel and semi silent on coon. my tack dog has a screaming locate that will drown out most hounds and turns over to a steady chop. Just like his day Amazing X Factor, which is directly off X jr. My other male and female are off of Amazing Swamp Rat, which is direct off of Rat Attack. Hunt and handle like curs, but flat tree like a hound.

she just turned 4 in november. the black and brindle is off of Kovacs X Factor and the female and white and brindle male are off of Amazing Swamp Rat, same dad different moms. all the dogs i have gotten from the kovacs have been all and more than they said they would. i raised a litter off of the brindle female Grace, and the black and brindle male Tack, and the pups are doing good and have had some awesome reports from them. i kept one female and she is doing great. she will be a yr old dec 31. not many hunts this way for the curs so i have to depend on the meat to keep score by.

I got two pups from amazingcursouth this summer. Here is the male-

Here is the female-

I really like them so far (looks and temperment), can't wait to put them in the woods when it cools off. From what I can tell so far, the female is going to have a really nice mouth on her.
My father in law has a treeing cur from the Kovacs Amazing cur line and we are extremely happy with him, thats why we wanted these pups.
