Best Night So Far

Tonight was a school night for me so as usual the rule applied that I had to be home by 11 o'clock. I took my female off the chain and loaded her up at 8. When we dropped her and a male off to road hunt, she struck and he struck in different areas. Both came back out onto the road and we continued hunting. Around 9:30 after treeing some small coons, we finally hit the jack pot. The male and my female went off the road on a wild dash, striking and trailing as fast as they could go. All of a sudden, I heard my female locate and switch over to her chop, than the same with the male. When we got to the tree, we looked up and saw three huge coons. Each one weighed no less that 24 pounds. The biggest I believe was 30 pounds. Pretty big for around here. Anyway, we got the coon out to the dogs, went back to the truck and I was home at 10:30. What a wonderful night! I'll be getting a picture of the coon on here soon.

Congratulations on having a good hunt, The sport needs more young hunters like yourself. My sons have the same rule must be home by 11:00. Tonight they took four dogs and three of the dogs split treed on the first cast, all had the meat. Kill season don't start until the 15th here, wish it started earlier.
Keep the hounds tired, only way to make a good one.

Hunting on school night

i know how that goes but if you go to college it doesn't get any better because then you can only hunt on the weekends, and you get on this meessage board three times a day because you wish you were in the woods. gah seems like their is no way for me to ever hunt as much as i want to. Congrads on the good hunt.
