The entries show it.
I am not bashing any clubs, its just a fact. I understand wanting to move it around but you exclude so many people who normally supoort these big hunts.
I think its a shame The World Hunt, which should be one of the biggest hunts we hold has dwindled to this size, many other hunts now have larger entries. I wonder how many owners are entered, in other words how many people have more than one dog entered?
I attended the coon hound world last week, it was over flowing with people, spectators and dogs.. The economy is bad for them to.. Mayb we should take a look why they are so supported whats different and use those ideas to strengthen our beagle program
Just some ideas to think about, it seems like our beagle hunts and select sire programs are failing. The ARHA Grand Nationals are expecting 300 dogs this weekend and its not a world hunt. Lets figure out why and use it...
i can see where u are coming from, but I dont think that the terrain turned a hundred qualified dogs owners away from the world hunt. I guess 1 solution is all NON hunting judges every round then u wouldnt have to run around. You would have to implement the zones again in order to get the world hunt itself under a hundred entires to find enough judges. UKC would have to pay the judges and you would prob need it doen in series just becasue prob not gona have 25 judges
U make a great point about the ARHA hunts ,huge numbers, of course that is a little decieving because one person may have entered 10 dogs BUT there is no doubt the numbers are impressive despite that.
Id like to see MO get world hunt next year, those ppl have faithfully supported UKC for 20 years and they have huge draws and tons of bunnies.
