How i carry my Garmin

I make lanyards and had some people ask me how i attach it to the Garmin This is the best way i have found it to work for me. just used a small cable tie and put it threw the little cut out on the side of the Garmin, same place the little strap goes that came with the Garmin. And the snapes on the lanyards fit right in. Easy to get to and no chance to loose it. If you got a t-shirt with a pocket it will fit right in it or a bib pocket. Hope this helps

That is basically the way I used to do when I used the 220

I used the little handstrap that came with the unit and then I put on a keyring with a swivel snap. I then hooked the snap to the button hole on my vest and carried it in my chest pocket. Several times crawling through brush, I would stand up and have the Astro swinging from the strap. Alot handier than carrying it on my belt. I wish Garmin would not even put in the belt clip in the package, but I guess maybe it is a ploy to sell more Astros. lol
