Flat ground, and creek bottoms to rolling hills primarily. If you are wondering for the zone hunt, you could be hunting anything from steep hills with big hollows to river bottom cornfields and pretty much anything in between. Hope that helps

Terrain

I have hunted down there quite a bit not an expert on the area at all. Where I have hunted it is extremely steep rock bluffs lots of creek bottoms with few crop fields and as soon as you leave the bottoms be prepared to climb. Dog has to go deep not many coon and RUFF

Sounds like you drew the wrong guides a few times. Last night I hunted on a big creek, corn and beans for several miles in pretty much all directions and not a rough spot or hill in sight. We counted 9 coons sitting up along with the 2 that we treed for 11 in all and we weren't even looking hard. Yes, it is one of my hunting spots where the coons not bothered a lot.

i live close t etown. who says no coons lol. i had 450 last week got knocked out by 750. the week before that i had 250 got knocked out by 575 theres coons here. you got to be packin a dog that trees them. i hunt all over the country pa, ohio,in.il,wv.nc,sc. would not trade ky huntin for them all. the worst thing here is ticks if u make it though them huntin great. so if you think your going to tree 50 coons a cast you will be very hart broken but if you come to hunt and tree a few coons and be careful callin your dog you will leave happy. brads and some other guides around there has some good huntin

If anyone thinks hunting is rough around Etown then they haven't been to eastern KY.

Guys from around here drive 3 or 4 hours out there on the weekend to hunt because there are a lot more coon and a lot easier walking.

I treed one up the road from the house the other night and by the Garmin the dogs were 370 yards away, uphill the whole way.

Your from Hitchins KY. Not far from Grayson. I've seen the terrain down there and it isn't much worse than Etown. Come to Perry Co if you want to see rough. Those little rolling hills around Grayson aren't bad at all. Not the kind of "uphill" like I am talking about.

Don't let theses guys fool you. I don't know where everybody else is guiding, but I will be taking my cast to a beautiful hunting spot. Scored 450+ a couple of times in there on a one hour PKC hunt. It has a big creek that runs along through it with corn on each side of the creek. Holds coons really well. Hunted my male dog in there about a couple weeks ago and treed 7 in a little over 2 hours. This is the same place that Nathan Fields placed in the zones on one cast win on Saturday night last year. I think we treed 5 in two hours.
