Progress on Clubhouse Project

Here are the latest progress photos.

We are about complete thanks to Jay Brademeyer's project management work and his wife Missy's interior design skill. We plan to add a covered porch on the building for sit'in and spit'in.

On August 13th we'll hold our 3rd Annual Sporting Day for Youth in our new facility. We normally get about 30 kids and an equal number of adults in this event. It will be much easier to hold this event now we have a place for it.

We got a grant to pay to finish the building, and ND Hunter Educators Association pays most expenses for food and safety lights for the kids in the youth event.

ND CHA, Ft. Ransom, ND

Come on out for one of our events.

The clubhouse overlooks the Sheyenne River Valley, which has been designated a national scenic byway.

We have hunts scheduled both nights coming up this weekend. The area is well drained and easy to walk. Kittens are moving by now.

ND CHA Invited to Join ND Furbearer Workgroup

At the invitation of Stephanie Tucker, Furbearer Biologist for ND Game & Fish Department, ND CHA was invited to join the ND Furbearer Workgroup. Membership in the furbearer workgroup includes a variety of state, federal and nonprofit agencies interested in managing the state’s furbearer resources: USDA-WS, USFWS, Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center, Delta Waterfowl, and both of the state trappers associations. This opportunity will provide ND CHA with an opportunity to engage with these agencies on raccoon management issues and potential changes to furbearer regulations.
