Anyone using Finley River on Bear

Is anyone on the east coast using any of the Finley River line for bear. Talked to a lot of breeders at setw days about this line and most of them said the old finley river blood was about gone. Said there was still some out in the west used for bear and lion, but not much left in the east. Most of what's left in the east had been watered down for coon. I guess they were meaning hot nosed trailers.

Finley River

I am not in the east, I live in Michigan but I do run some Finley River dogs. My female is heavy Finley River on her mothers side and she is a real nice bear dog. Cold trails real well and starts a pretty good percentage of the tracks we put her down on. Sticks real well with any bear and is a good tree dog. She also is a good handleing dog. I like her well enough that I have been on the look out for more of the same.

We have pups - great for bear

We have some pups out of old lone pine finley river stock that will be ready middle to the end of august. Both parents of the first litter have thrown pups last year that are really going to town on bear in Vermont. Check out our website about those pups on our website www.sharptoothkennels.mysite.com and go to the Bear Hunting with Sharp Tooth Dogs. You can read about the pups in Vermont and see pics.
