I dont have one but ive seen them dogs run and they remind me to a T" to my grade male ... they run dentical from wat ive seen and he took time to start,in fact the longest of any beagle ive had, frustrated me but stuck to him and wouldnt trade him for gold. How old of a pup you got ?

Another way to get them to open up on track is to act excited and encourage him by acting like you want to help him chase it with him the more excited he sees you are the more he will want to get that rabbit to make you happy, I've noticed the more excitement I put into training pups the better...jmo

I'am glad to hear that ! its like christmas morning when they finally just go and run ! they only get better from here out, im like a addict when it comes to training pups i always used box trapped rabbits or tame ones in high weeds to start my pups solo..... Good luck w him.
