Kennel Bench

Anyone know what to use for a rest bench to give hounds a spot off concrete kennel floors. Aside from making something, any ideas?

off the concrete

cheapest thing i have found to use in my kennels is a piece of rubber mat that would be used in the back of a pickup! i bought one for $20 dollars and was able to put a piece 4 kennels and they seem to spend most of their time on it. and the dogs cant make a mess like they would with a piece of carpet.

we were able to find some used rubber mats like you would stand on at work, about 1 inch thick. so far not even puppies have destroyed them and they love laying on them.

In my kennels I use plastic barrel dog house, I have them with the back against the side of the kennel about 3 feet from the back. I then take about a 4x4 piece of 5/8 plywood and drill some holes around the edges and wire or zip tie to the chain link on the 3 corners touching the kennel and one in between the 2 sides. The far end then sits on top of the dog house, this gives me two things, a place for them to lay in the shade underneath anytime of day or they can lay on top off of the floor.

I second that !!!
