Question about letting someone else hunt your dog!!!???

Hello Fellow Hunters,

I have a question. I have a buddy has several young dogs and he can't hunt them all. He met a few guys who hunt often and is willing to hunt some of his dogs for him just to keep them in the woods. Good thing is the dogs will get to hunt and hunt with a good experienced dog. My only concern is he is dealing with people he doesnt know all that well and my concern is the dog/dogs coming up missing or something. I guess he could just not let them hunt the dogs or he can write something up making the person he ;et hunt the dog responsible for the dogs if they come up missing. What do you all think?

i hunt soneones' dogs because i hate to see dogs live their intire lives behind wire. i do it for the dogs. i spoke with the owner and explained why i do it and made sure he understodd that there is a risk that one could get killed by snake bite, run over, and hung up or lost. he said he understood. a few times i have stayed out all night looking for his dogs because they get lost or won't come in. still i hunt them because i'm a dog man. one time i left a dog in the woods until after church on sunday, the next day. he and i went and i caught the dog in the brush. the man acted kinda snippy and i decided i didn't need that kind of appreciation. i made up my mind that was it for me. then i heard a knock at my door. he came by and told me he appreciated what i did for him and he gave me some money. i gues he thought twice about it. so i'm still running his dogs. he gets his dogs hunted and i have fun messing with a different dog everytime i go out.

Contracts are made to be broken. I would ask around about the guys myself before anyone of them took my dog. I started out hunting another mans dog but I knew him pretty well.

Thanks Guys, I told him to check him out as much as he possibly can and realize dogs do get hit and snake bit. It's a risk he's taking but one that could work in his and his dog's favor!!
