I start at 4 to 6 weeks old. Just give a couple of drops in their mouth.

I use Zymectrin gold for my hounds, and my vet didnt like it much when I informed her. She wants to push the heart guard she sells. a friend told me to wait until my pups were 6 months old before I started them on it

Yes it is safe to give to both pregnant and lactating females. Ivermec is no poisionous. But it should be used at the correct levels, most people give to much. A 1% solution used for heartworm prevention only reguires 0.10 of a cc for a 76 lb dog.
