I have an 18 month old Jo Joe pup and he is doing great. He is a show champ working towards grand and will be put in the hunts in 2 weeks. He will hunt any way you want to go. He will strike out of the truck, road hunt, you can send him, or just walk him. He has a cold nose and will move a track. He is 99% accurate and is trash free except for an occasional possum or armadillo. When he trees my 4 year old daughter can call him. He is very loud and a big houndy looking dog weighing about 80 lbs. He is one of the smartest hounds I have ever owned and was a pleasure to train. I have inquired about some of his siblings but haven't heard much about them. Oh yeah, I have caught 70 coons this kill season with mainly him.

King, What are you looking for in a stud? If you like the old lines that made the breed what it is today feel free to e-mail me and we could talk.

I bred my

female to a male off of Saint Nick x Fergie, who is out of Brush Hog & Willies Jojo. The pups are just 7 weeks old & I have to say that they are the nicest litter of pups I ever had. The male I used is owned by Jeff Grace, McConnellsburg, PA. Jocko is one top dog in my book! PM for Jeff's phone number if interested. Below is a link to view pictures of the pups that Jocko & my female produced.

My dog has a long bawl on track. A choke down locate and rolling chop on tree. When he trees his voice quivers. He's an on the wood tree dog. He usually drowns out the other dogs.

English Babe

I noticed that one of your pups has a blue eye. I have a pup out of Woodstock's Red Buzz that has one also. Someone told me that I wouldn't be able to show her and another person said I could. Do you know if it is a disqualifying fault? When I pick a pup I always try to pick the most unique one.

Born again

it is not a disqualifying feature nor is it a true fault. I was told that it goes back to Dickey's Old Sandy. Since these are line bred on Wilcox lines, these pups have alot of Old Sandy back of them. Both parents have to carry the gene for it, to pop up. You can show & hunt your pup with the blue eye all you want, won't hurt a thing.

Good luck with it.

Thanks, English Babe, for the info about my blue eyed pup. From the way I read the rules, I thought it would be ok. Nitechamp Bud, yes I hunt at Salem but I've never hunted this dog there. I did show him last summer out there but he was too young to hunt. He is out of Jo Joe and Eric's Thunder Freckles. He is almost all red with very little ticking and weighs about 80 lbs. We've probably met and don't even know it.

I think I can tell you a couple things about Wilcox's Hounds. I consider myself a good friend and hunt with him often.
1. JOE - I hunted this dog for Larry for a Kill season when he was just turning a year. Great dog - he turned it on that year. I should have bought the dog, but..... anyway he ended up with Dennis, which is good for Dennis. Very nice choice for your breeding.
2. All Grand Dan and Adkins Dog- Both nice dogs and a credit to the breed.
3. Thunder Blue- Loud mouth "THUNDERING" Tree dog. Large blue, nice looking male.

My opinion: If you are looking for the Wilcox bloodline - why go to a "son"? Breed to Thunder Blue or Joe Joe.

If I can be of any more help, let me know.
