Ear Notching

Has anybody ear notched there dogs like people that raise pigs to be able to keep track of which pup is which .

Use tattoos

Just use tattoos, them poor old ears get notched enough by coons.

I tattoo all of my pups with UKC Number before they leave here.
I do notch my bear and coon dogs ears for just another form of ID

Put the numbers or letters in a pliers like thing put some ink on the dogs ear and and clamp it on and you are all done.

that sounds like a great idea with the ukc number . We use to notch pigs ears , one ear had month born and the other had what boar and sow it was out of . it was a great way to keep track . Thanks for all the responcees
