dog retrieval

Can anyone in Oklahoma verify the proposed new law on retrieving a dog that gets on posted property. My understanding is you can not go get your dog now because you can/will be arrested for trespassing. Would appreciate input on this, Thanks.

dog retrieval

It was told to me by a reliable source, that the Oklahoma legislation passed a bill that forbids one from recovering his/her hound if it goes on posted land. You are trespassing and can/will be arrested. In the past one had the right to retrieve his hound/dog if it got on posted land. Many times a dog could be turned loose on property where permission to hunt was given and then trail on to posted property. Up till now you had the right to retrieve your dog so long as you left you gun(s) outside of the posted land. The new law prohibits this. I would like someone to confirm this one way or the other. The person that told me about this said he understood the property owner could legally destroy a free ranging dog. This could be a major problem.

welcome to America you cant hunt anymore like you should i have a hard time finding pleasure places dur to the fact that as soon as you say hunting red flags rise and the owner doesnt want the hassle due to the fact we live in a law suit happy world and folks just dont respect things like they should im telling ya right now if my dogs are to cross a fence im right behind em no matter what the issue is theyare just doing thier jobs now if we could train coon to go into trees on lots hunted and hounds to stop track once hit the fence then we would in a time where everything is going digitized and kids are wasting thier time indoors coon hunting is a secret society it seems!!!
