ANTS all kinds of ANTS

I recently moved to a new location and what I am noticing is ant hills popping up everywhere. Is there anything out there cheap and efficient to deter and kill these pests? Seems like I am getting over run.

YES! Texas is ANT CAPITOL of the U.S.

Go to Walmart - get the Bayer Ant powder in the blue container - it doesn't require watering the hill after application & it works.
Also - get Ortho Home Defense in the gallon container. Put nozzle on "stream" & put boundary lines of this around the outside of your pens, kennels & house. If you SPRAY areas where your animals will come in contact with it, make sure the sprayed area is DRY before allowing animals to have contact with the area again. The Home Defense treatment usually lasts several months unless you have heavy rain. It REPELS ants very well from entering where you have any feed or food dishes.
These 2 products have made life bearable outside as well as inside.

Thankx Skyblu,

I knew someone from Texas would have the low down on the best thing to use. The little buggers have surrounded my kennel and trying to invade my feed bins by the hoards.

These crazy blue dawgs I have are starting to bay on them. :-)
