N.C. may not, but I do. I'll try to let the landowner know 1st before I enter their property, but either way, I'm going after my dog. I may have to walk in the stealth mode, but I'm retrieving.

No, nc does not have that law. But i'm with terry, come hell or high water i'm gettin my dog.

We have it here in Virginia,but like last nights hunt,the dogs got onto a farm I don't have permission to hunt.Just like Terry,I went into stealth mode just for the simple reason that I don't wanna have any confrontation with a landowner even though I DO have that right.As long as I'm not carrying a firearm.I left my rifle last night at the property line & got my dog.

No NC does not have a right to retrieve law but most of the time if a property owner is giving you a hard time you can have a game warden or a law enforcement officer escort you to the dog or be present while you go get your dog.

Most land owners are ok if you tell them what you are doing but some are not and can be butt heads.
