pp state runoff ?

How many hounds qualify for this? I know there are many that are tied. Just curious how all this works.

Yeah it is top ten, but if you look at many states including WV the #10 dog is tied with the #11.

Good luck to all and may the best dog win.

in WV the dog that got 16 points first would get the 10th spot.

Now does the first place hound automaticaly move on to national runoff or does it got to runoff at the state also? Yes Adam i'm gonna try and make it. Really looking forward to meeting some of the guys down there. Always heard they have some nice running grounds!

1st Place

Yes, the 1st place dog gets invited to the National PP Run-off. I am not sure if it is included in the PP state-runoff ten dogs or if it is the next 10 dogs in placement. In Hound & Hunter format the 1st place dog competes as one of the top 4 in Jrs and /or top 16 in All Age.

These are good questions.

Fred

First place dog is automatically in. Does not have to run. I had this with Abbie.

Performance Pack State Race Program

Permanent Link

Black Gold UKC Performance Pack State Race Program

The Black Gold UKC Performance Pack State Race Program is open to all UKC registered beagles with owners in good standing.

All UKC licensed events excluding the Performance Pack Nationals and Performance Pack World will count for State Race Points. Dogs may earn points in any State but will be ranked in the State specified on the dog’s official ownership record at UKC. For situations involving a transfer of ownership, State Race Points earned after May 1st will not transfer to new owners.

Points will be awarded to cast winners having produced a rabbit and placing in the event as follows:

Registered
1st place 10 points (requires competition)
2nd place 8 points (requires at least two cast winners)
3rd place 6 points (requires at least three cast winners)
4th place 4 points (requires at least four cast winners)

Performance Pack Champion
1st place 10 points (requires competition)
2nd place 8 points (requires at least two cast winners)
3rd place 6 points (requires at least three cast winners)
4th place 4 points (requires at least four cast winners)

Performance Pack Grand Champion
1st place 10 points (requires competition)
2nd place 8 points (requires at least two cast winners)
3rd place 6 points (requires at least three cast winners)
4th place 4 points (requires at least four cast winners)

* State Championship Events (one per State) will be considered double State Race Points events.

Points will accumulate from January 1 to December 31 of the current year. Only those reports received before February 1st of the following year will count in the Official Standings. State Rankings will be reported monthly. The Top Ten hounds in each State will be ranked and will be eligible for the State Run Off and the right to advance to the National Run Off.

State and National Run Off Rules –

Those States that hold six or more UKC licensed Performance Pack events per year are eligible to hold a State Run Off.

Those States holding a State Run Off will advance the high point hound in their State automatically. The remaining dogs in the Top Ten within that State, along with any dogs assigned by UKC to attend, will compete for one remaining spot. If your State qualifies to host a State Run Off, you may only participate in your State. If your State does not qualify to host a State Run Off, UKC will assign you a State Run Off in which to participate.

All dogs will be measured and must meet height requirements in order to enter the State and National Run Off. Exception: Permanently measured dogs.

State Run Off entry fee is $20.00 half of which is retained by host club and half of which is forwarded to the National Run Off purse.

National Run Off entry fee is $10 which will be used to pay Judges.

All dogs are drawn out together regardless of category.

Dogs at the State Run Off to be drawn to the least number of casts in accordance with cast breakdown sheet. The number of dogs drawn per cast at the National Run Off to be determined by UKC.

Current Performance Pack Rules apply.

Two licensed Judges per cast.

The Formal Complaint Procedure will be in affect. All Formal Complaints must be heard and ruled on by a panel of three individuals who are current on all UKC Performance Pack rules and policies. The Formal Complaint hearing must be held on the date of this event and must take place within one hour after the deadline to return scorecards to the Master of Hounds.

$1000 cash purse and jackets awarded to dogs placing in the Final Cast at the National Run Off, percentage to be determined by UKC. State Race Winners that automatically advance to National Run Off to receive high point jackets.
