i run mine the night then after that i put it on the charger if it a hour hunt or till the morning hunt that way i know its ready to go the next time if it goes dead it dont do you any good if dog is gone way deep hunting

i get about 17 to 20 hours on one charge

it is a good idea to recharge it, even if you haven't used it. The power will bleed off.
