well, all i can say is that since the dog has heartworm they will recognize that as neglect. as for the other ailments, that will happen after 2 weeks of being away from home. i say that everyone that can, should call this place and demand the dog be given back to the rightful owner. the boy.

Just another "fine example" of the humaniacs run amuck. California, Colorado, and soon probably Florida are not states that favor pet owners/hunters/farmers when it comes to animals. This case is one of the worst I have seen due to the child involved. If she was smart she would try to get it picked up on national news because poor public opinion is the only thing these types fear.

Unfortunatly you can't just go take the dog, this is not a might makes right world. One of her local news stations does a bit calle "Kake On Your Side". The idea is if you think you have been wronged and there is nothing you can do about the station makes it public. It is a statewide station that is more than likely owned by a larger nation wide network. This would be a great place for her to start pulling heart strings if she hasn't tried this already.

I dont really know what to say . it pisses me off when **** like this goes on, all these people that suppose to rescue dogs are a joke any way. all they want is money ,and thats why they try to charge all that money to sell the dog, there are a lot of people that dont have money to pay 2 0r 3 hundred dollars to give there kids a dog. why dont they sell them reasonably. anything for a dollar i guess

I'M WONDERING WHERE ARE THESE DOG RESCUES GETTING THEIR FUNDS FROM. I SEE THEM POPPING UP ALL OVER. I PASSED ONE YESTERDAY THAT HAD FOUR OR FIVE ACRES FENCED IN. I KNOW THATS NOT CHEAP. THEN THEY HAVE A BRAND NEW BANNER AND A BIG SIGN. I'M NOT SAYING ITS A BAD THING BUT THE WORLD IS GETTING CRAZY WITH KEEPING DOGS ON THE INSIDE THEY DON'T BELONG ITS KIND OF LIKE PUTTING A CHANDELIER IN AN OUTHOUSE IT JUST DON'T BELONG A DOG ISN'T HAPPY. EVEN CAESER MILAN SAYS THAT JUST ABOUT ALL DOGS THAT ARE KEPT IN A HOUSE ARE DEPRESSED AND HAVE SOME SORT OF DEPRESSION OR MENTAL PROBLEM. YOU CAN SEE IT YOURSELF LOOK HOW EXCITED A YARD DOG IS COMPARED TO SOMEONES INSIDE PET. THE INSIDE PET JUST MOPES AROUND AND WADDELLS HERE AND THERE ITS DEPRESSION. SORRY FOR FOR THE RANT BUT ITS A PEEVE OF MINE I ACTUALLY FEEL SORRY FOR THE DOGS THAT ARE KEPT INSIDE.

Let me tell you a little story I had with one of these "groups" a few years ago.

My dad left a kennel door ajar and a female I had got loose and with the neighbors cur dog and had a litter of pups. There was/is a lot of bear and hog hunters around there so I decided to let her have them and give them to some friends who hunted.
After I gave most of the litter away I was left with 4 of the pups so I put them on a local trade and sale. The next day I got a call from a man wanting to come get all of them.
My wife called me while I was on the farm working saying a man and two women were there at the house and was wanting to take the pups and the mother. They already had the pups(which were running free around the barn/kennels in a crate and would have had the female if I had not had her kennel locked with a small key lock.

I drove the 2 miles to the house and confronted them. They told me who they represented (Best Friends Rescue) and immediately started talking down to me because I hunted and "forced these dogs to hunt and kill". Then they told me they wanted to take the mother and have her spade...for free.

I told them they weren't getting ANY of the pups and I go the crate from their van and put the pups back in the kennel and asked them to leave my property immediately.

They refused to leave without the puppies. They called the law ,after I told them I was a carry permit holder and would forcefully remove them myself if they didn't leave. They left, but returned with the law 20 minutes later. The law stood with me and told them I did not have to give them the pups if I didnt want to and that they were not to be back on my property.

This same group, just a few weeks later, stole a man's dogs from his kennel, claimed abuse, and while it was in court, had them all spade and neutered. He got his dogs back, but was never awarded any compensation or paid any money for their actions.

Groups like this are nothing more than Domestic Terrorists who have been emboldened over the last few years because like minded ,Liberal idiots like them are/were controlling Washington D.C. and giving them money to operate on.

this dog is clearly a therapy dog and they have no right to take the dog from the boy. Even if the dog did become lost, it was the rescues responsibility to see that it was returned to the owner. The owner may have some responsibility of reimbursing the rescue for the board of the animal and any vet fees that were incurred.

I volunteer at our local humane society and you would not believe the irresponsibility of some folks with these dogs. But our humane society will not take a dog which is clearly a lost or stray in most instances, these dogs go to the county pound or the city pound.

This organization is a fairly good one in that they are a no kill facility and these animals get treated better than I do. They get clean sheets to sleep on every night and they get walked physically three times per day. There is a vet on sight and they have a dog trainer and a vet tech on duty every day.

I do not agree with some of their rules, but since they are the ones who are entrusted to place these animals which have been surrendered by the owner, the rules are for the protection of the animal. That is how they get the funds. Even I couldn't adopt one of their animals as I already have 5 rat terriers and a coon hound. They would consider that hoarding. But, I do volunteer to help when I can.

YOu can go to their website at www.quincyhumanesociety.org But I do think that this boy should get his dog back and I think he should get it back soon. Hopefully, this is a no kill facility as if it is, chances are the dog has already been destroyed.
