coonhound chronicles, # ?, went out, pics

well, here we go again. skeet has been laid up for months. deer season etc. and here comes the warm spell. well, about 2.5 weeks ago i had a mishap with my knee. no kiddin. completely trashed it for a week. this is the culprit.

so, i think it is better. somewhat, still hurts at a point. but, i want to take the dogs out. well, knee is alot worse. bit the dust cause i was holding onto the leash with skeet on it. skidded out of control and ended up wrapping the leash around a tree real quick like to keep him from runnin off. we went out back. there is a road about 300 yards to the south, and before that you got a house that has about 700 billlion feral cats . that is why he was kept on a leash. know i got coon, but , i just want him to learn some manners and listen somewhat. night or not. plus, i love him, and dont want him to get shot by the fly by night cat breeder.
so, i learn that besides the knee i have a HUGE problem with. i now know i have a hole in my one boot, a pup that will listen, and a barrell of a gun full of dirt i have been trying to clean out. and they were still trying to tell me they had somethin, but not treed. not good enough for me. my motto to them, if you aint talkin, i aint walkin. lol.
this is how i knew how i had a hole in my boot. man my boy's work me

and here is my poor coverall's and my gun. at least i came home with my dogs.

maybe, i should let my knee heal, and take the pup out when i decide i have enough faith in him and trust him completely. i worked him shortly on a hide the day before. not doing that anymore. he totally skipped the giant trail i had for him, and went right for the coon in the tree. he started on it, and then skipped and went.
thank you to the friend that is helping me to know this pup has it and i dont. maybe we will make it yet. i do know a human can ruin a dog faster than anything. faster than a possum, deer or fox.
relax, they say, it will come. if you build it, they will come. famous last words.lol

i believe it. if you have patience, they will learn and so will you. i cant wait til i can get into a hunt. even if it is for pleasure. we are gonna kick butt.
