Nice Catch

after following the dogs on BIG Boar Coon Runs the Last few times out. It might be time to go back to trapping.

here is a post of what little we did trap this year.

the dogs have treed 83 coons this year so far and we have a month to go...but the big ones are wearin me out with these races....

Good luck to you this season, fur prices are pickin up a lil too.

Whether it is chasing hounds, setting traps, deer hunting, or even just fishing time spent in the woods, creeks, and lakes with our kids is one of the best investments we can make.

I enjoyed the pictures.

nice pics guys..keep em comming..i either club mine or shoot with 22 short and scrape the blood off the top of the dirt..dont bother them to much over here.. most fox we club or use a catch pole to move them away from the set then shoot em..

beaver only take one swift hit with the club and there dead if we snare them on the ground in a run

No offence to anyone , and I'm certainly not a bunny hugger or against trapping , BUT you fellows are loading up the animal rights folk with material here.... The live photos and talk of suffocation and clubbing will be fodder for their for there sites... And yes they read alot of sites... The dead animal pics are fine IMO.

Like I said , I'm not offended at all , but I wouldn't be posting stuff like this if I was a trapper. JMO.

the good news is anyone with half a brain can tell these animals arent in pain..as a matter of fact a few are curled up sleeping..a properly set and selected trap wont inflict any pain just restrain them until you arive..i can see by coyote hunters pics his traps are set properly as hes got almost all pad catches on a front foot..

They have been seeing it for 100 years, so why should today be any differant? Why be ashamed or Hide from a lawfull past-time, Why not stand up and be Bold? If we dont post it,....... you can believe the trapping sites are full of pic's like this.

You can hold your tail as high as you want and even growl a little bit if you want too , but you'll find yourself battling for the future of your sport anyway.

You boys suit yourself. It's YOUR sport not mine.. It doesn't offend me , and I couldn't care less what you post about trapping.

Its just my opinion that LIVE trapped animal pics and talk of clubbing will do nothing to help your cause in the general public..

Yote hunter if you think I'm your problem , your head is stuck in the sand...

Just ask the Ed Abel in Oklahoma. Ed's an attourney that has spent 34 years defending hunter/trapper rights in his state and various others. He's forgot more about this subject than you or I will ever know.

Ask the states that have outlawed various hunting activities. Try to convince a general public that is mostly against us and think we're a bunch of stone aged hillbillys

Pictures of live trapped animals , gut shot deer , people beating dogs and so forth don't do a thing to help out in the public eye. Ask Mike Vick.. lol..

If I hurt your feelings well sorry about that.... It looks like you enjoy your trapping and are very successfull at it , but I'm not your enemy...I actually think your pics are cool and it looks like alot of fun.

Hope you continue to have success in your trapping.

Here's a link to an interview I did with Ed Abel just a few weeks ago.. Be sure to read the last question I posed to Ed and you'll see that I'm on your side.
