Funny things you read on here
I've been sittin here on this board for the last hour just browsing and it just absolutely cracks me up when people say Kennel Reduction Sale!!!
its like a big sign that says...... HERE ARE THE ONES THAT WERENT GOOD ENOUGH TO STAY!!I totally understand some people that get loaded down and have to sell a few but it always cracks me up when i read this.
ANOTHER funny one is............"THIS WILL MAKE A HELL OF A DOG, BUT I JUST DONT HAVE TIME"
I'm not starting wars, Cabin Fever just has the best of me tonight!!! LOL

I see no problem with folks selling off dogs because they took on too much to handle. It happens to the best of hunters at times.
What makes me laugh is when, you see them selling something they haven't had time to hunt but then on another thread shopping or trying to trade for something else.

LOL, I saw one on another board that described a dog as, "He would be worth alot of money if someone wanted to pay it". Duh.

I like the one where the seller says " If he does not sell and I hunt him up and get him tuned in, I will be asking double!".
If it was that easy, why not just do that to start with!
Also the one where someone will advertise a dog of some type and get no responses then they post a reply like they just can't believe someone would offend them by showing no interest!
These are the ones I have to bite my tongue on!

My favorites are the ones that list a dog for sale but they leave out the little details like HOWS THE DOG HUNT, HIS AGE,SEX,WHAT PART OF THE COUNTRY HES IN,HOW MUCH, or maybe a phone #

Hey Danial, how have you been? I think we are all guilty of making 'em sound better than they are ! I wrote an add on one a few years ago to put up for sale, and buy the time I got done describing him and read what I wrote , I wanted to buy him!!! GO FIGURE !

like the ones that are selling their dog because not enough time to hunt due to job,school or having a baby................,but they will trade for a dog box or tracker

I see a lot of females for sale and they will say "one litter of pups will more than pay for this female". Well if pups were so easy to sell why don't they just raise a litter out of her and make all that money?

It cracks me up when people start out small. By that I mean start a post about there dog that's doing so well followed by pictures of the dog treed. There purpose is actually to sell the dog even tho they claim its not. Give it a few weeks then guess what? The best dog they ever owned is now for sale.
How bout the same couple guys who always have "the hard to find kind", ive been searchin for years and ive had 1 that would fit the bill "hard to find kind" and she brought me and a co-owner more money than we could turn down. she was in the top20 of the 2010 ukc world and was just a little over 2 yrs. old.
Also,pay attention to dogs for sale with a picture of the dog treeing. Every dog a certain person has posted for sale is on the same tree.
Another good one is the guy who claims he is selling the dog because he doesn't have time to hunt it then every day for the next two weeks he comes back on here and states "took this dog out and treed two last night", " went last night and treed 1 in less than an hour", and continue to make posts like this about hunting the dog every night.

I've been saying this for years and I'll say it again. A huge problem with this sport is people selling dogs that didn't cut it instead of culling. It's almost impossible to buy a decent dog these days because of all the garbage for sale. If you dont have the balls to cull you shouldn't get into hounds, that's just plain fact.
I find it funny the people who are selling a dog that has only been used for showing and never been hunted in its life and they ask $600-$800..... Hard enough selling a finshed coondog for that now adays.

I like when someone is selling a top hound that has it all. Nothing to hide. Not currently hunting it though because of young dogs. If it was a top hound you would think they would hold on to it because most young dogs do not turn out and they already have this top hound. You see some having major training issues with their dog and want advice. Several give advice and the person gets completely upset and wants a miracle cure. Nothing works overnight and sand sprinkled across their back is not gonna remove faults and demons. More people need to learn some can only be broken with gun powder and lead.

Hey dale I been good man. Could have been better!!! Had sorry excuse of a hunt here at the grand american. The hunt was great!!! Just bad cast of couple known guys. . . . . Long story short neither packed a dog worth the bullet to shoot them and they were both real asses.
