#1 Problem with DC 30

The #1 problem with the Garmin DC 30 Collar is the VHF antenna. For those of you that isn't sure which antenna this is, it's the long thin black antenna on the collar. When your collar starts loosing range or you only get 200 yards out of a collar, look no farther than this antenna. I have changed out many for people that were only getting 700 yards out of their DC 30 and once the new antenna was installed they were back close to a mile in test conditions. It's public record on my e-bay site the number of items sold. Go take a look, I have sold over 60 since the middle of last month and have sold over 50 out of the house here. No record but an accurate indication of a problem. What I have done to help solve that problem is come up with an antenna that will not let you down.
Here is what the Tuff-Skin antenna will do for you.
** Will not break down like the original antenna will and you won't be replacing it on a regular basis.
I am not advertising this item on the following two points, they are just a bonus. I will let the customers speak about range and signal performance.
** In thick conditions it will maintain a signal better than stock antenna.
** On most DC 30's it will improve the range.

That's great news Bruce. When mine starts acting up I will get one from you.

That amp looks like a great idea if it was just internal or something. Looks too bulky the way it is now. If I hunted back home much I may need the amp but where I am now I don't have any range issues.

Now the next thing is if Garmin will fix the internal antenna connection.

DC 20

Bruce,
Would it help a DC20? Mine has never been worth a flip. My 30 is ok, but I would like to be able to use both of them!
