Making a hound without any help?

Anyone ever trained a pup without an older dog for it to run along with? How did it end up in the end?

Due to the mill closing, I had to find work 1500 miles away. After five years I lost the breeding I had for 30 years (Duane smith bred plotts). So I started over with 4 pups ,different breed ,sex, and states.
From 10 weeks to 16 weeks of age.
After playing with a caged coon 1 redbone male from Kevin Jackson out of montana and 1 redbone female from Donnie Stockton out of N.Carolina, struck a track from the truck and went on to tree it on the edge of a cornfield. 4 1/2 and 5 mths old. 1 plott female from Idaho ,Joe Lord, is just starting to run and tree a little but loves to pull hair. pup no.4 ,plott female, from Ontario, is only interested in her food dish.
The good of training a pup alone is ; independence , and not picking up bad habits , easier to correct when needed .
I'll post some pics of Hank, redbone male . He turned 7 mths today, has treed 20+ coons with no older dogs and been at 6 bear trees.

Dang, thats pretty good. Ive got 2 litter mates that turned 8 months old yesterday. I got them to run on bear, but we have a short season and I have a demanding work schedule that isnt jiving out to well. Seems I get to feed the dogs all year to hunt about 10 times, which isnt good for me or them. Ive hunted them a few times this year with older bear dogs and they done pretty decent with some help. Im thinking about taking up coon hunting, but dont have a coon dog or know of anybody close that does. Ive got a old blue dog, but hes always been on bear, dont even know if hed run a coon, plus hes bout to old to hunt.

Just kinda lookin for some info from people thats tried training without a helper dog.
