my learning experiment, oh yeah. chronicles,?

so, after the last couple months, alot of reading and asking for advice, i, i mean I , decided to do something different tonight. i did opposite and then i did what people said to. confused yet?

ah ha, pup training can be hard. i know this. i am not a weak woman, but i have weak moments. unfortunately, i let them show on the internet. so, after all that.
some people who responded to my last post about the pup that wouldnt shut up. well he has been quiet for a while now. he was successfully bred , unfortunately, to my husbands registered shepherd tonight. he is now quiet. no kidding. huge mishap on my part and i will be on my way to the vet tomorrow to save the poor man's dog from an unfortunate breeding. i let them outside, and when i was done with business on the phone successfully gaining a couple more bids for my trucking company, hmmm, he was successfully HOOKED UP.
so, on to the lesson of the night.

i need a caged coon. just to focus the pup. AGAIN. only used a caged coon twice. so, before anyone can bad mouth anything, only twice with a caged coon. got to get his mind off women.. ANY COMMENT NOW?
love when i talk to myself, there is no comments.lol
anyhow,
the pup will respect me. all i have to do is take off my hat and raise my voice. it is serious now. and now that i have taken a step back and figured it out, he is after the woman, we have no problem. smacked him with my hat and raised my voice tonight.

and then , left him home, oh no, the weak woman did it, in his pen. cant have him runnin deer or anything, his mind just isnt in it right now i dont think. but, ya know, i dont really know men that well sometimes either. no offense to some.
took my cage out to the place where i hunt usually anymore.. only out about twenty minutes. and let me tell you what the old man, my mix got. one heck of HUGE female. man this coon, i did not skin it tonight, got to get some kind of weight and length on this kid, but man. got it. then the story begins.

so, originally , i set out just to set my live trap cause i have had absolutely no luck around here catching a live coon. used sardines and fresh honey. no luck. so , I get my concoction together , put it in a ziploc, and head out. with my trusty , rusty murphy mix. yes, hobo, a walker mix. NO PUP. he is on house arrest right now. just settin a trap tonight. gotta train right. bye the way, got him to shut up. oh, did i mention that already? oops. ok, repeating myself. sorry
ok, back to the story,, lost the concoction. my magic mix that cant catch a coon around my house , but i do believe , that it can catch somethin around someone else's place. especially when i stare at den trees all night with the boys. i only took the trusty rusty murphy. while i am busy trying to set the cage with a, dont laugh, strawberry air freshener out of my durango and a couple pieces of corn i shucked on the way, i heard the bark of my murph, murph. cause i thought i lost my magic coon trapper stuff, it is gross, somewhere. dont know where?..... i stand there thinkin, good grief, good thing i have the 22 mag. (i am looking for a smaller cal. , maybe a short) . 22mag. is against a tree, just puttin the finishin touches on my righteous coon bait, and here he went. off i go, sure nough. he never lets me down. got the biggest female i ever seen.
while i am getting every wal mart bag i ever had out to pack this coon out, i find my MAGIC COON BAIT. those stupid bags dont work. but the coon bait i use is a mix of sardines, honey, and tuna. now i have to cart this bazillion pound coon out, with the cheap GREEN wal mart bags, that rip, good thing they are green and earth friendly, there alot of them on the ground right now.
back to the magic coon bait, after i got the coon back to the durango, we all know that it is a ENCLOSED vehicle, SUV, to those who want to be specific, i returned to the trap to put in the bait, cant get the strawberry air freshener out, arms aren't long enough to reach to the back of the cage. just put the rest of the non magical, magical coon bait in and i am hoping for the best.
guess where i put the coon for the night? we will let you guess. not with mr. i am a man now. for sure.
if i catch a coon with a strawberry air freshener and some tuna, there are going to be some men i dont really listen to anymore.

by the way, no offense to anyone.

i will get a tape on this coon tomorrow before i skin it. big one.

this is the den tree under which i set my magic coon bait trap.

here is the boy, after the BIG fact, and after i told the husband what had happened.

I HAVE GOT COON ON JUST ABOUT ANY KIND OF CANNED FISH. AND THE HONEY HAS GOT TO BE A ADDED BONUS. I BET THEM COON WILL HANG THAT AIR FRESHENER IN THE DEN TO.LOL THE BEST LUCK I HAVE EVER HAD CATCHING COON WAS ON FRESH RAW FISH SCRAPES AFTER CLEANING FISH. AND YOUR WELCOME.

So let me get this straight. You let a 6 month old dog breed a shepard and carried a coon out from the woods in Wal-Mart bags? Then you put the pup in the house to lay on the couch?

the accident happened way earlier in the day. took murph out, got my coon in about ten min., set my trap, came home. and the whole time the pup was at home.
geez briar. give me a break.

I have caught more coons off of Twinkies than any other bait for live traps. Break a couple small pieces around the trap entrance and put the rest under the pan. Smells a lot better than fish and you will not catch any possums.

Oh you do need to keep copies of all you write. I would buy a book of yours "Branchville Chronicles: Adventures of Kelley & Coonhound" I smell a best seller. You could be a modern day female Jack London! Love the picture of Skeet. I was thinking the same thing greg was only not Kool-Aid. Hey accidents happen.

For toten coons out put a cut in there back leg and find about a 4in stick to put through the hole.

Bait, Ive used everything but car fresheners. you catch one on it i might have to try it.lol But fried chicken bones work really well around here. Or the ole famous dog food and grape kool-aide.

i would have tried something easier, but i thought it would be easy considering i was only 40 yards from the truck. wasnt really going coon huntin, just settin a trap. and happened to end up huntin.lol.

never trust a woman with a coonhound, 22 mag, coon cage , and a boat load of wal mart bags . when i say i will be right back. doesnt happen.lol

the air freshener thing was the only idea i had since i thought i lost my bait. at least it was strawberry. then i couldnt even shake the cage hard enough to get it out cause i couldnt reach it. so, naturally with my luck, it got stuck in the back of the cage. then i found the bait. 20 bucks i caught a skunk.lol

i technically didnt let them, it is not like i stood there and said have at it with a beer in my hand watching doggie por*)*. but , it is my fault. i was so busy on the phone with business after a very successful meeting, i never gave it a thought when i turned them out to go to the bathroom. she was still bleeding. and was snappy the day before.

what do you think the pups will look like? my husband wont pay for the day after shot. and my dogs are spayed and or neutered. except for the skeet skeet.

this

plus this
