What to do when the Collar Loops Break ??

After 3 years the Collar loops are breaking off all my G2 exps ..

Do you have to send them back to replace the Reciever Case ????

Or does someone sell the replacement case ??

If it was me I believe I would rough the side of that receiver up with some coarse grit sandpaper and align the collar exactly where I wanted it and JB Weld that collar to the receiver.

I have just wrapped black electrical tape to them. It has to be replaced from time to time but works OK.

Both of mine busted at about the same time. I tried black tape and it didn't want to stay on very good. I sent them back to tritronics and they put new casings on them for $30 each.

loctite plastix bonder...2 part shringe, squirt out and mix togather.

smear a coat of vasoline on the collar lay it in place use several wraps of tape to form a dam each side of where the broken strap was, right over the collar.

mix this stuff up and use a icecream stick to apply and fill the strap area up. let set up hard couple hrs. remove the tape. 24 hrs you can worh the collar out and trim rough areas with a utility knife.

menards, home depet. lowes should carry it in the glue section.

I had one that broke at one end when the dog wearing it was hit in the road. I used epoxy glue (like Dan described) and built it up and it is still doing great 3 years later.

good luck......used staight epoxy once and repaired another guys and held for a year before it came loose....i figured it was pretty good !

loctite plastx bonder is epoxy formulated for plastics, some thing new out and i repaired mine with it. seemed to be easier to work with and adhere better. when hardend it feels more like the plastic housing too.
