How do you guy's feel about the same handler at a local club being late almost every hunt 2-10 mins late & still hunt?

This is how it happens his buddy fills out entry slip all but UKC # then the
handler arrives late with EZ entry card & money fills in # pays & is allowed to hunt every single time it happens.

We all know what the rule states just want to see how yall feel about situations like this.

IT ALL JUST DEPENDS ON WHO YOU ARE. I HAVE SEEN SOME WELL KNOWN FOLKS DO SOME CROOKED STUFF.

next time it happen ask for a formal complain form,fill out and hand to master of hounds.

as long as the e z entry card is at the hunt the dog can be entried.

if the the entry slip is not complete at the deadline time, the entry should be refused. The entry taker, should be checking all the info on the slip, against the registered info the UKC provides, via papers or card. If this isn't there at time of deadline/entry, the dog's entry should be refused. I'll be willing to bet, if this rule was enforced here, just once, that handler could get to the club on time, or have the card in the hand of the man who is filling out the slip.

As MOH i would make it clear to everyone. The card or papers must be here for me to check at time of entry, and the enrty fee must be paid also, or enrty is refused. How can one be any fairer than that? Late is late, and late won't hunt.

Always thought if the required paper work (easy entry card, etc.) wasn't there at deadline it was a done deal.


I've been late and it sucks to drive a long ways and not be able to enter but if you do it enough it'll happen sooner or later. Usually it's traffic, directions, break downs, but if it's just constantly not taking care of business and expecting everyone to take care of it for you then you've got a problem that 's causing trouble for everybody .

i understand what everyone is saying, but i have been told as long as you are in line to get your entry slip when deadline ends, then you can fill it out and enter your dog. i dont really agree with it, but that is what we are told. just like the big hunts the conformation deadline is 3 and as long as you are standing in line then you are allowed to confirm. so what is the difference in that and someone going , standing in ine getting an entry slip , filling it out and when the guy gets there him putting the ee# on the slip and paying the money???

Sure they must take your entry if you are in line at deadline. That is not the same thing as being in line with no EE card or papers. When you get to the entry desk and deadline is past, you better have that EE card in hand or the papers, otherwise you aren't getting entered. UKC has always been clear on that.
