Give GARMIN there credit for PEOPLE!!!!!

Every time you look on hear lately it's been MY GAMIN THIS-MY GARMIN THAT-IT LOST MY DOG-IT FAILED-IT WANT PICK UP-IT GOT MY DOG KILLED-LOSES SIGNAL-COLLARS PLASTIC-LOOKS CHEAP etc.
Back before garmins the same people where complaining about their BEEP BEEP systems. You should THANK garmin for taking the time out to give us COON HUNTERS such a great system.Lets face it boys, our market is very low compared to all the other outdoor sports fishing, deer hunting, etc. That's why you can't find anything useful at the bigger stores such as Wal-Mart,for the fact is COON HUNTERS don't bring in the $$$$$.Even though, along comes this MEGA company name GARMIN who saw the little sports need and poured millions of dollars into research to build the greatest system to ever hit the sport of "DOG HUNTING" hands down!!!! Look how some of you are sending your thanks.Everything MAN MADE device can and will "FAIL"every now and then, and will continue to do so til the end of time I guess. Why don't you post when your hounds fail to do there job every or your truck won't start in the woods those things are worth more then that Garmin you get on here and run in the ground, why don't you post that?YES I have a GARMIN,YES sometime it acts crazy, but would I trade it back for a beep beep?HELL NO AND YOU WOULDN'T EITHER!!!!Sometime I wish just for one week that all the satellites stopped working and you had to go back to your beep beeps.

After hunting with a Garmin for 2 and a half years if the satellites quit for a week I think I would make up a good excuse not to hunt rather than drag the old beep beep out of storage.

Great point. How often is it that something new comes out and totally revolutionizes how something is done and also costs less than the comparable item that was used before it.

Wow, you had a trunk that was that dust proof? I had to take the back seat out and put them there, my trunk leaked dust so bad, that it wouldn't have done any good to cast the dogs after filling their nose with all the road dust. lol

Give it up. People whine. That is just the way it is. I love mine and would hate to go back in time. The whiners sure make the rest of us look good though so they too have a purpose. LOL

You can't beat them

Right now Garmin is it you can't beat them. When you can zoom in on your dog and know which side of a river to walkin on to get to the dogs OMG can't beat it. I use my Garmin year around coon hounds and coyote hounds in the winter. Love it!!!

Do Garmins have their problems, yes, are the one of the greatest things to happen to the Coonhunter since the invention of the Coon Hound, yes.

I can't imagine a night out in the woods without a garmin.

Thank you Garmin!! OMG!! I don't think I can live another minute without you in it! And to think it was great when man walked on the moon! This was nothing in comparison to the invention of Garmin! Did I say thank you Garmin? I think I love you!

I've owned a garmin for bout a year and I think its great. I think its so funny I see on here all the time " I've never owned one nor will I because they are junk" I would rather put a cow bell on my dog before I would beep beep collar. Also i see new beep beep systems for 700-800 bucks. the garmins are$500. And another thing yea the range ain't the best, but the other systems have antennas that are so big that they look like they came off the roof of a house. I can walk through the woods with it in my hand, I know exactly where my hounds are at all times. Which that is very important because I would hate for my dog to get busted up by a car. It's a good tool to have when you young pups. But anyways thank you Garmin, it saved me many hours at night.

TURN OUT YOUR LIGHTS AND USE A COAL OIL LANTERN. GO OUT TO THE OUT HOUSE A T 1:00 AM IN JANUARY. FEED THE HORSE AFTER YOU UNHOOK THE BUGGY. ITS CALLED ADVANCEMENT IN TECHNOLOGY. GET OUT OF THE DARK AGES AND DEAL WITH IT. NOT ONE PERSON WOULD TWIST ANYONES ARM TO MAKE THEM USE IT. SO GROW UP. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE IT OR DO NOT WANT IT OR JUST CAN NOT AFFORD IT IT IS OK. JUST QUIT BASHING IT TO THOSE WHO LIKE IT.

Show mw a beep beep that will guide me back the same way I walked in to the dogs the garmin finds for me so I can find the same creek crossings I used on the way in. Then shows me the roads and highways I need to get back home. Or closest road out of the woods for that matter. Which dog is hunting and which is following. That is just a short list of things a garmin will do that a beep beep won't.
