I got the Blazer Pro Head and I like it a lot. I would have to disagree that coons dont look at the clear light as much, in my experience they look at them a lot better than a 5100 style head.

I saw the G2 head side by side with the Bright eyes 28 volt light and have to admit that I thought the G2 was a little brighter and a little smaller head, (not as bulky as the bright eyes) I'm not sure which of these two are the most dependable as I don't own one yet, but again I do believe the G2 is a little brighter.

(Jill or anyone else) anybody know which of these two heads (Bright eyes or G2 Head) works the best on a Bright Eyes 21 volt box light, or a Blazer 21 volt belt light. I'm thinking of buying just the head only for my existing battery pack, but not sure which of these two heads would adapt the easiest to either of my two existing lights? What (if any) modifications would I need to do to my lights to make either of these heads work??

I never seen a bright eyes head but if you called Mike Kelley he'd tell you about the modifications for the g2. My dad bought a g2 head in January for his cajun now I have one and a few buddies have them too. They sure make older lights bright again. They work good and Mike has great service.

I have the Bright Eyes White Lightning and love it. One reason I went with Bright Eyes was for the look and durability. It is BRIGHT and goes down to a good spot. In my opinion you would not be disappointed with Bright Eyes.

Thanks

I just bought a G2 K-Light head this week and I will never go back to a 5100 head. I had a 21 volt battery and it works fine. Mr. Kelly said sometimes on some batteries, you have to change the polarization.

LED heads

I owned a Valley creek, have a buddy I hunt with that has the G2 from K light. Sold the mini pro and bought a 12V Competition Light with their 3 LED head neither of the above compare to the Competition. Doesn't effect my Garmin and holds as tight of a spot as a smart light but a lot brighter. I can burn a hole in the middle of the other two lights on the high side and turn it down low enough to look like a candle on the low.

12V Competition LED

Not much on the picture thing but yes it has a High/Low push button switch. The button is in between the battery pack and the juction box, no way it can turn on unless you push it. No adjustments on the head everything is on the juction box including a walking light which I don't use. I hunt at least 4-5 nights before I charge mine.

Chris,

Where did you buy it, and how much $$$$ do they cost? I am thinking about buying a mini pro, but I like what you are saying about the competition light.

Thanks,

Scott

light

I bought mine from a local dealer. You can call 866-826-7457 and speak with someone there. I paid $310 for the pack, light and bump cap. There is not a jack for a spot light but I don't use one anymore. I never thought I would be able to stop packing around a spot light especially since I always hot wired mine so all the batteries would go to it but once I hunted with this light I gave my spot light away. I had the mini pro and it was bright but it flaired out way too much for me and the first click was too bright even with a pop cover on it. I like light weight, bright and something that can hold a tight spot. In my opinion competition is putting out the best LED light right now for what I want.

Knox,

Does it dial down low like Chris was explaining. I have a pro-head, but it is more of a flood light, and it does not dim down. The first click on the pro-head is too bright IMO.

Scott, I had them install a rheostat so it can dim way down. I used to own a Prohead and the Competition one dims down alot better when on the low side and has a tighter spot on the hi side than the Prohead. I think you would like it, but I would go with the 12 volt instead of the 20.....no dif in brightness just a little more burn time...........good luck and let us know which one you get...................Tim

The 4 led blazer does the 1 thing I didn't like about it.
I got the new 5 led a A.O. & it does not or has not to me yet.
