????s about coon candy help please

I got some cooncandy a couple of weeks ago and put a bucket out a little over a week ago. The coons have not even touched it. I know the coons are there because i put corn and dogfood mixed and it did not last a week. I know the coons are there because it is a very hot spot for me. My buddy put a trailcam on it 4 or 5 weeks ago and at that time we counted 10 different coons on it at one time. My ???? is is the cooncandy is as good as i hear everyone say it is or am i suppose to add something to it when i put it out.

It's as good as you've heard. I've put a couple of bucket's out my basement door and they hit it hard. Once they've eaten it all the bucket is CLEAN.

I bought 2 buckets at AO to try, its been out ever since, Nothing has touched it, there is a lot of Acorns this year, I guess they will eat it when they get hungry. In the same spot they have ate a couple hundred lbs of Ole Roy over the summer.

Who Did You Get From ??

The candy I get from Dean Mace always works, its the best...
His is somewhat gummy with the liquorish and molasses mixture, but that's what makes it.

For those of you that don't know what this stuff is, you don't know what your missin.

This isn't coon potion or that old prodigy lick you screw to a tree. If you want some, shoot Dean Mace or me a PM....

The whole 5 gallons

I hang the handle over a low hanging limb and put a 1in hole in the lid..
The hole sounds small but they will get it out..

We have coyotes pretty bad at some of my places and they learned they could catch food at the buckets and started staking them out.
Thats why I hang them up in the tree...

This time of year coons have plenty to eat, persimmons, acorns, corn fields, crawfish, scupidiens, this maybe why your not getting coons on it. Bill is right the coon candy does work great, I myself see no reason why anyone would need to feed a coon this time of year, maybe in March, April, and May there is not as much for coons to eat, the candy seems to keep them in alittle closer. I did have some buckets out that time of year and in May Treeded 6 single off of 1 bucket. They do work great. But this time of year you should have no problem treeing coons without buckets.

Thanks for the help guys. I got the stuff from SClite. It has a really sweet smell to it. I know the coons have alot of other stuff to eat during this time of the year but i am trying to help my brother get his 2 pups going. I have filled a bucket with corn and dogfood on the same tree and it be emptyed in one week. I put thee candy on the tree to see how it would do and they have not even touched it yet. This is going on 2 weeks now.
