Boy we are getting RAIN !! Its been Very Dry here .. Ponds were totaly drying up and the Shenandoah River looked like a Creek ..

One good thing is the Acorn Crop is Unbelievable !! The ground is covered in white, red and black oaks .. Saw a few deer yesterday and their bellies look as if their were going to Pop ...

We were powder also, some of the swamps were even dry. We got five inches Monday and another five inches yesterday when I checked the rain guage last night. It has rained all night and is expected to rain all day. The swamps are full again.

Almost 2" here overnight .. Hope we get another 3-4" before it stops ..

2 days ago while I was cutting some fire wood I hit something in the tree maybe a nail, A single spark from that started the leafs on fire ..

in Trenton, NC we have got over 18 inches. My rain gauge holds 6 inches and it over flowed last night so that added to the 12.5" up until yesterday morning makes it at least 18 inches and counting. it is getting really ugly for the farmers around here... the drought destroyed the bean crop and now this rain is destroying the cotton crop!
