Trust me you guys are close to an interstate or the Iphone wouldn't work.
They have horrible reception and service area. This is well documented even in Consumer Reports etc.
Just the other night I had a friend of mine with the Iphone huntin with me. He didn't have any reception, not even enough to make a phone call for the last 20 minutes of the drive, but I was able to surf the net at the barn waiting for the rest of the crew to get there.
Huge difference in service.
It's the carrier, not the phone so much (unless you have the 4 LOL).
It's not too bad for me cause I have the Droiod X anyway.
I looked at the Iphone, and would have had one if it wasn't on AT&T.
Glad I waited on the Droid X now, especially with the reception problems of the 4.
I always wanted an Iphone because I really like them, but I just couldn't get past owning a phone that you couldn't make a phone call on because of no coverage.
Heck even in the local hospital in Johnson City the reception was so bad the hospital had to install a special AT&T tower just so the staff could use the Iphones in the hospital.
They didn't have to do that for Verizon, their phones even worked in the basement the whole time just from the regular towers.
It's that big of a difference.
