Texas state is rockin' already!

And of course doofus here waits until the LAST MINUTE to go "hey - maybe I need to reserve a breeders showcase booth?". Dwayne works in Fairfield and he told me there were bunches of people setting up YESTERDAY - so he stopped by today and got the LAST booth. He said lots of venders and some of the big name kennels were there already.

Hoooooooo boy Looks like this one is gonna be big - I'm psyching myself up to not be too disappointed if we have to come home empty handed. But even after winning overall at louisiana and arkansas this year, this is HOME and really want to win on our own home turf. Well we will see how it plays out!

LOL I always say the dog that will win, will be the one you almost leave home. At ark-la-tex youth show this year I tossed belle in the box as an afterthought, and she got BIS female at 8 months old! Arkansas we almost didn't take Luke, he was the only one of our four that did anything, he won King of Show! So this year my "almost didn't take" is going to be Boogie. She's a tight compact little female and she's undefeated at club level, 3 shows to champion by 7 months, now three champion wins before a year, but she is smaller than average, so i'm not sure she is going to be able to hold her own with a class of bigger, older, champion females. And I heard last night that Pat Kerr is coming - she is HARD to beat with those walkers of hers - but she deserves every win she gets, she works hard and her dogs are trained within an inch of their lives and show GOOD. I'm probably wasting my time and money showing my grand female against that Nancy dog - but I'm gonna try!

Yep that was our "clean sweep" at louisiana state, winning BIS, CH, and GRCH females. I was a bit miffed over the mistakes in the photo layout though. I believe the english listed was a female, not a male, and there was some other breed of reg female, cuz i rembmer Windy had competition for BIS. The way they have it laid out it looks like it was a "freebie" win with no comp, but it definitely wasn't. Also it shows the King of Show as "overall" and Priss as "Queen". This makes it look as if the male beat priss, when they never pitted them against each other. They chose a king and a queen, period.
