Axe:

I don't know about the Ivomec, I'd say around 6 months.

The Adams no mo tape wormer in the tan box with the Golden Retriever, I dont know about for puppies, but I worked pretty good on our big dogs.

Tapeworms come from fleas, so unless the pup is eat up in fleas, tapeworms shouldnt be to big of a problem.

Go to the vet's office and get some PetCal vitamins. They're like $8.00 for a big bottle of 60-70 tablets. Give them 2 x a day. Morning and evening. It will make a world of difference.

With No-MO you also have to starve your dog for 24 hours before giving him the pill. I start my hounds on a quarter dose.....just a little bit,,,,,,at 3-4 months old....then by the time they are 6 months old i give them 1/2 dose by the time they are 1 year old I have worked them up to the whole dose. It sure makes a dog look better too. I I give them on the 10th of the month so I don't forget.....But it helps their coats their eyes....it just helps alot......if you have a dog that has a skin disorder....ie losing hair or flaky skin.....give 'em some IVOMEC.....it works on that 2...............TCB

Axe

Yeah, we live about 45minutes-hour away from Murphy.

Well, we were going to a show and hunt down there, we left our house at 5:05. The deadline was at 6:00. WE FLEW and we got there at 6:02 but were still able to enter because the bench show judge wasnt even there yet. He got caught up in a bad wreck and he said if he wasn't here for the deadline it was only fair to let the people enter that were there when he got there.

Do you know Matt and Daniel Burrell, the two twins? If you do, Matt was going to get a pup out of Hank but then decided to bear hunt. He was wanting to buy Hank at one time, when we were hunting with them. Hank and CJ were the only 2 dogs to tree a coon on a Nite Hunt one night. This guy with a Plott dog was saying how we needed to take those slick treeing Walkers to the house that they couldn't compete with his Plott. Well, his Plott came out and they called time out so that we could drive around to where we THOUGHT the dogs were trailing. This guy was out on his porch and said "It's about time you came to get those hounds. They've been treed down there for nearly 30 minutes!!!" We got there and Hank and CJ had 2 coons up one tree. One started shimming down the tree Quincy hollered at the guy with the Plott "Yeah, we see which two dogs ended up with the meat while the da@##@ ole Plott was IN THE DOG BOX!!!"

There is another guy that always comes to the Murphy hunts, always wears a Cowboy Hat. has really dark hair and a mustache that wants to breed his female to Hank. She always wins the treeing competition. 75 barks in 30 seconds is hard to beat!!

Have you been to Murphy recently? If you came to any of the hunts 2/08/03, 2/15/03, or 3/15/03 we were at all of them, and a couple in the summer too.

Gary, I use it on my bulldogs at two weeks old and have never had a problem. I haven`t raised a litter of hounds since ivomec got popular. We use it at Dark Blue Kennels at about six to eight weeks.

I dont think that there is this weekend, but I think I remember seeing in this months Bloodlines, that there is one in Murphy on October 25, or somewhere around in there. We are definately going to be there, unless there is some unforseen tragedy between now and then!!

We'll have to get together if you come up!!

I have given Ivomec to pups as young as 6 weeks old with no problems and know of others who used it on younger pups. Valbazen is good for tapes as well as other worms and can be given to pups. I use Valbazen every 2 weeks on pups and Ivomec once a month. Good results so far.

Ivomec dosage is 1/10cc per 10 pounds. For a pup you will use very little and will want to add syrup or something to it so the pup actually gets it in his system. The dosage is the same as for a grown dog. A little more or a little less is not a big deal as everyone seems to do it a little different.

Gary:

You just keep in touch, and we'll get together and talk if you come up.

Maybe Me, you, taterbug and Quincy can go grab us a bite to eat somewhere. Do you like seafood? If you do, there's an awesome Seafood House about 15 minutes from the club. The last time that we were there, I ordered a to-go platter, there was so much food me and this girl on our cast ate until we both were stuffed, and I STILL had food left for the next day!! Me and Quincy can eat for around $15 but it is GOOD!!!!

What will you be hunting, registered, Ntch or what?

Well, we'll consider it a get together if you come up!!

I'd really like to meet ya'll and see your dogs!! Luckily we finished both of our dogs out to GRCH on 8/30/03 so now we're free to show dogs for other people!

I'm chicken and havent got the nerve to show yet! Quincy does that.

Dosage

1/10 per 10 lbs. is way too much. A lot of people think a little too much is o.k. I don't. 1000mgs of antibiotic in place of 200mgs. is too much, it won't kill you but it is wrong. 2.5 TENTHS will treat a sixty pound dog. There is a price to be paid if you want to keep your dog until it is fourteen. Pay what you will.

Mr. Harry, it may be way too much, but I`ve got one here that is eleven and one that is ten and that`s what they`ve had since they came into the world and you can`t tell either one of them are as old as they are by looking at them or watching the way they perform.
