If you consider someone not wanting to take they're minus, or pitching they're dog, or voting whichever way benefits them most, bad sportsmanship, then I'd say it averages more than 10%.
Several UKC casts you get some fellas that are just plain ignorant and aren't packing a coondog or don't know the rules. I don't always consider those bad sportsmanship because I don't think they intend it to be that way. They just don't know any better.
I'll agree on one thing, your personal approach to these hunts has a big difference in your overall experience. This year I made a point to attend fewer hunts, tried some new clubs, passed up some hunts that I wasn't interested in, and took the approach to just take them as they come.
I had a couple casts that weren't much fun but more due to ignorance than bad sportsmanship, and a couple I'd rather forget.
Overall I enjoyed the UKC events I attended this year more than ever.
Very good post. Thank you
