Do Twinkies Really Make Good Coon Bait

I heard there is a guy in Michigan who uses twinkies in all of his feed barrels. I heard that he uses them so much that the locals started calling him "TWINKIE BOY" Is there any truth to this or is someone pulling my leg?

The thing with twinkies is you get a twin pack but you only need 1 to bait the trap.

I don't know what to do with the other one but sure hate to waste it.

Every time I hear about or see twinkies I think of Burt Reynolds in a movie way back. He takes a twinkie unwraps it and places on the bow of a boat. Then he claims that after the boat has rotted away the twinkie would still be intact.lol

Currently it all doesn't matter ... my doctor doesn't allow me to eat any foods with real taste.

As far as twinkie boy, I don't know if I know him or not, but there are a few up here that look like they may have had one twinkie too many.

I've got

an 87yr. old retired farmer that traps live coons for me.He's been trappin' 'em since he was a boy.he swears that the best bait is raisin bread but he does sometimes use honey buns.He goes to the bread store when he needs more bait. The people that work there save the outdated raisin bread and honey buns for him.And he pays little to nothin' for it.

I love twinkies

No coon Is going to get my twinkies, bait or no bait. At four dollars a box, and then think about giving them to a coon for bait. I think not.

I always use white powder dounuts. They seem to work real well. I guess they are sweet and beings they are white maybe those curious little bandits want to see what they are. Package of six, three for the coon and three for me.
