The Monadnock Sportmens Association members hope that you will join up on Saturday July 17th for the New Hampshire State Youth Championships.

We have had an enormous amount of support with donations, I believe we can make it a fun filled day for every child.

We have numerous fishing pole & tackle packages, tackle boxes, leashes and collars, dogfood, muck boots and a huge donation from Cabelas of 30 mini leathermans.

There will be beautiful trophies award to each overall winner/handler in EVERY event.

We will also be holding a non-sanctioned treeing contest, the overall winner/handler will be awarded a trophy for that as well.

Bring your son, daughter, nieces, nephews or grand kids. Grab the neighbors kids (just as long as they know your taking them, lol) and come'on out and spend a great day with us!!!

Field Trial - 2:00
Water Race - 4:30
Bench Show - 7:00
Non Sanctioned Treeing Contest - 8:00
Nite Hunt - 9:00

Morse Sporting Goods from Hillsboro NH has donated a TRU-GLO Red-Dot Turkey Scope!

Also one of our members has purchased a new 6 volt light from Blazer to donate as a prize!!!



Gather up the kids and come on out and join us, we will make sure that all kids will go home with a prize!

ne houndsmen please join us sat and bring a child this is our most satisfying event of the year our goal is to make every child happy it is not really about comp but about familys enjoying the outdoors together we will accomadate familys anyway we can bring a child bring a dog if you don't have a dog we always have extras we can provide adog or enjoy the frog race sawdust pile full of money or just come to watch the fun andhere is a partial list of prizes and i know wayne and mark r and dave and the fergusons hav e all collected things quick track has donated 3 certificates 1 prowler express light 1/2 off on a prowler hot lightand 50.00 off any prowler light thanks quick track cabelas donated 30 mini leathermans thnks cabelas dan's hunting gear 1 nylon huntig jacket thanks dan's north american hunting club 3 free memberships yoder nyon donated 1 pair of muck boots thank you to all remember this is only a partial list our members have all worked hard to make this a great time hope to see a great turnout

Hope you all have a GREAT time and get LOTS of pix of this event! DO to some unexpected circumstances here... (like having my bluedawg in ICU for a whole week...) have made things a bit.... busy... broke... BUSY... around here.. Luckily he is now home and improving for now...but still being nursed... We wouldn't have been able to make it up anyway, having a cookout on the 17th to celebrate me and a group of old friends hitting the half century mark in 2010... BUT... some day... I swear we'll get back up there for some fun stuff! Bob and I truly had fun and felt at home up there!

We sure wish you guys could make it out again as well... sure hope your bluedawg has a quick recovery and you enjoy your cookout as well. I think any child that shows up this Saturday will leave extremely happy...that's our goal.
We only have a couple more events so you guys better leave some room in your busy schedules to come see us again. You are great people and we truly enjoyed your visit with us. wd

We will give every child that comes to the event a free raffle ticket. At 9pm we will start pulling tickets, whoever gets draw first gets first pick, whoever is drawn 2nd gets 2nd pick and so on...until every child has a prize. It should make for an exciting time!

Prizes, prizes and more prizes...every child wins!!!

Come'on out and spend the day with us.

I'm excited for tomorrow, I've never been to a youth event and it looks like I may be bringing a truck load of kids with me so bring an extra dog if you got one and don't mind sharing it for the afternoon

I'm just getting home but all I can say is it was another incredible day. We had 10 dogs in the field trial, 10 dogs in the water race, 19 dogs in the bench show and I think 14 went to the woods!

Thank YOU and Blazer light for the donation. We had 27 kids there that ALL went home with a prize!!!

After I get a few hours sleep I will post pictures and thank everyone accordingly. (Especially my wife who worked her butt off in the kitchen from 1 to 9!!!

larry thank you for the light we have asked the kids who took home the prizes to contact the sponsers and thank them ( with mom and dads help) i will also try to follow up on that it was thr best event i personally have ever seen at monadnock thanks agatn mark

EVERYBODY stepped up this past weekend and made the Youth Event a true success! 19 dogs in the Bench Show, that was nice to see...Richard had a good time with that. All day the kids were checking out the prize bench...Cabelas multi tools, coats, chaps fishing gear, hats, hunting gear, hunting lights. I know it has been said, but thank you to everybody that donated items, it made for some happy kids this weekend!

I think the coolest thing was when the first kids name was drawn for the prizes...he ran right up there and grabbed a fishing pole because that was what he loves to do. Pretty cool to look at things from a kids perspective sometimes.

I had a blast watching Russin's boy eye that 2 tier trophy when he returned from the Nite Hunt. At 3:00 AM, this kid should have been wiped out! He just stood there looking at that thing waiting for that last cast to come in....check out the pics when they get posted.

The frog jumping contest was fun to watch, I figured some of them kids were gonna pass out from blowing behind the frogs to get them to jump!

Last but not least...let's not forget WD's wife....she cooked all day and was a pleasure to be around, she made the kitchen a true success.
