underground fence help

I want to keep a hound loose in the yard, and she responds very well to an e-collar. Currently I have about 2 acres of my yard fenced in, and it keeps our great dane in well. The problem is that the e-collar for the system shuts down after 12 hrs, and you have to hit the switch on the collar again.

Does anyone know of an fence system collar that does not turn off?

thanks

Have you checked Dogtra? Theres will warn with a vibrate before the shock so they are not as apt to run threw it but don't know about the 12 hour thing.

I think mine is an innotek and it never shuts off unless the battery is dead. I have a rechargeable collar and it worns me every 30 days to charge it.

sport dog..

i just done about too acres.. its a sport dog.. so far she has hasnt got out... This one shocks beeps and vibrates.. it shocked her once and she did get out i lied... and she absloutly hated it.. i put it on vibrate and walked her around the flags and it would beep, then when she crossed it would vibrate and she got back in real quick.. i thought that was pretty neat...

ours beeps when they get to boundary ( flags ) they will turn themselves inside out to get back in yard to keep from being shocked. only problem i have is neighbors dogs coming around. they have met this german shepard twice at the boundary and sent his butt packing. stupid neighbor walks the darn dog without a leash, then looks at me when his dog comes in my yard. i gave him a pretty good butt chewing last sunday morning about it. told him to keep him out of my yard, not this nice though. if he wants i will let my one male hound go, he will not stop at the boundary.
