lost&found dogs advice?

Yesterday I was cleaning out the dogs kennal and these two beagles came into one of my dogs barking I checked the collar called the number on it the guy had no clue or claims he had no idea what I was talking about. Plus where it says the dogs come from was an hour from my house. So now what? I'm thinking about takin them to the pound but really don't want to see them get put down

if he claims he don't know the dogs he turned them lose or stole the dogs his self then turned them lose. Keep checking around to make sure there is no stolen dogs in the area. It happens in the area I am in all the time

Makes you wonder if he drove an hour to drop them and figured he was done with them. Probably couldn't bring himself to put them down and bury them on his own, figured a guy with a dog kennel would keep them. I would give his name and phone number to the police and have them come get the dogs as abandoned strays.

I would think even and idiot would remove the collar before dumping? Especially if he stole the dogs.

I'm getting to thinking someone stole the collars putthem on the dogs and dumped em. Its been happening to us lately one guy called us and said he had our pitbulls we didn't know what to think. I think that's what happen.

It happens here during deer season. If you don't keep watch on your dogs they steal them and run deer with them and leave them the human soceity will get them and not even call you even with your collar on them then they want you to pay high fees to get them. then we got some that will steal them here and put them in dog fights to.

Had my dogs stolen years ago.. Found out later they were used to train pits with.. Should be able to use dog fight owners for training bait..

Or on the remote chance the beagles could be dog collar crooks
????

You know I hate that I did this. I put the collars back on them gave them some water turned them out of their cage and let them go. Havnt seen them since. Guess someone kept them.

There's a guy that runs beagles on the street in front of me the one was mixed with pitbull but the other was pure beagle. My mom said she has seen the dogs walking with someone I checked half the neighbor hood. I just cut em loose and watched them and they were gone. Someones house pets probably. I still ask people but no ones seen them so I guess they went home its been about 2 weeks now I feel bad for doing it I would have kept them but there was no way
