Is it still a Purina Event?
I recall some years ago going to the State Hunt at Lapeer with Elvis when he was handling Rocky2 and it was a Purina Event. That was definately a major class event up there.

was there fri night..
we got there late,, diddnt have much time to visit..
i was suprised there wasnt more dogs.. seems like the state hunt always used to draw 100 or so hounds..
would of went sat but it was grandsons birthday party..
got to keep him happy.. (hopefully future handler for gramps)

They took are Purina status away because we had the State Hunt WAY to far north a couple times and we didnt draw enough dogs!!!!!

Sad deal but only we (are state ass.) can fix it.... IMO

Well they sure didn't have no shgortage of dogs at Lapeer but that was prolly 6 or 7 years ago. That was a great hunt up there.

Actually loosing the state hunt's purina status had nothing to do with the hunt being in Grayling several years ago. We lost the purina status because low numbers starting at Lapeer 3 years ago, and 4 years ago at Bellevue.
