With all the bad, here's some good.....

Tonight was my last hunt with Rambler here in Eastern, Ohio. Rambler will be headed back to Tom's in Woodstock, Ohio. Rambler is heads and shoulders the BEST coondog I have been in the woods with since returning to coonhunting after a 10 year year break. Rambler is the style of coondog me and my dad hunted back in the late 80's to late 90's. He hunts hard and deep, beautiful mouth, tree dog, and independent. I can tell you without hesitation that hunting him from late may until september I have found coon in his tree AT LEAST 95% of the time and probably 90% of the time he is alone! I cannot say enough about Rambler and his owner Tom Purdy is a first class guy as well. Tom did not know me at all and allowed me to hunt Rambler for the summer and put his trust in me with a top shelf coonhound. I, like a lot of you, did not know of this dog, but just happened to stumble across his ad in the Bloodlines and feel in love with his pedigree and his looks. Then after talking to Tom while getting our female bred I knew we had made the right choice. Tom let Holly stay at his place and he and Doug Adams took great care of her and got her bred and now we have little Rambler's flying around my place. I cannot thank Tom enough for allowing me to hunt a top of line hound like Rambler, the winning this dog has done has nothing to do with my handling, I have cost him more hunts then I have won for him. He deserves every thing he has got this summer. Tom, my door is always open for Rambler to come here and I will hunt him ANYWHERE in the country for you ANYTIME. I consider Tom and Doug two of closest friends in the coonhound world and I recommend them to anyone who wants a TRUE COONDOG! I cannot wait to get my Rambler pups in the timber! Thanks again Tom for everything, I'm glad that dad and I chose you and Rambler! Here are some pics from Rambler's last hunt in T-COUNTY!

Old Holly backin Rambler up! haha

Congratulations jjlute.
Rambler is 1 of the best. I to have hunted rambler and he wins by treeing real live coons and staying treed till you get there. Ramber treed 3 coon by himself to finish to grntch. He was the only dog to show a coon that night. It was my first hunt with him. We hunted 2 hrs at the same drop. Rambler made 3 trees by himself staying treed twice for forty minutes he was the only dog to score plus points that night.

Rambler is a great coondog. Owned by a true gentleman Tom Purdy
