Coonhunters's Integrity

Over the years of coonhunting in many different places and hunting with many of hunters. I have notice that hunting has change alot. Take for intance if 4 guys goes hunting with 4 dogs, there will be 1 dog out of the 4 that stands out. What i'm trying to say is back n the days people realize that out of the 4 hunters only 1 had the best dog, it was fine back then. On the other had we as hunter forget that we all have our time to own the best out of the four. We win some and we lose some. Just think for a moment that the young hunters are getting in the sport, so we as hunter have to show some kind of leadership in the right way. Take a look at the Southern State's Vicksburg, Mississippi post on Coondawgs.com at pages 26 and 27 and let me know what you think. I would like to know what you think GOOD or BAD. Sometime we just have to ? our Integrity. Thanks looking forward to hearing what you guys think.

After you click on Southern Hunting States, click on Vicksburg, Mississippi Coonhunter and go to pages 26,27, and now it has a 28.

fighting

sounds like he got what was coming and dont like it to me... first hunt or last hunt if he was fighting he is to be scrathed... and it dont matter if the other 3 dogs got scratched the next night or the night before same thing scratch... btw they would have been showing a lack of integrity if they had not scratched him

Sorry guys i have gotten all kinds of pm's about the post. I was just reading the post and found it interesting. It was not to point the finger at anyone. I have gotten pm's that the Cord dog went on to win the second round and also that Mojo went on to win the hunt. It doesn't matter which dog went on to win, this post was intended on our coonhunting hunting as a whole. We have youth coming into coonhunting and we need to set examples for them in a good way. I'm so sorry. Thanks

I haven't seen the post in mention, but I do know intergrity is an individual thing. I have also seen good examples lead to more positive occurences.

Here is a signature I use on another board: Ethics and integrity are measured by what you do when there are no witnesses. Get outside and practice both.

Integrity is something that we each must make sure we take care of in our own back yards so to say.

Thanks Mr. Larry well spoken. Guys I would like to raise the ? what if the dog was wrongly accuse? Should we be honest to ourselves and handle it better,or carry it around knowing we where wrong on a judgement and live with it? Our youth sit back and watches thing we do all the time. Lets bring them up on the right note so future of coonhunting can be more enjoyable in the future. Thanks
