got a 17 month old female that will bust in the woods get struck run the track (open on track )then stand at the bottom of the the treed for about a minute. i know because the garmin wont bark treed but will blow the top out of a hang up . how do i get her to tree at night ??? thanks jeff

I would say get to her as soon as you can and Tie her up ...If she has the meat, pet her up. But try not to over do it at the same time... Good Luck

I had a redbone like that once. I hunted him with a cow bell on him. He started staying at the tree but wouldnt bark. He would look up and then back at me, thus ringing the bell. Of course that was back in the late seventies when hides were worth something and he knew daddy was going to knock it out when he got there. I hunted him some with other dogs also that would tree and petted him up every time I got to him. It took into the second year before he was a good tree dog. Then he was the best I have ever owned before or since and nearly 100% when he treed.
