Fasten a cattle insecticide ear tag to the collar. Works pretty well for a month or more.

I have an electric fly zapper by the pens and I use Bayer Advanced Tree and Shrub on the dogs 1 time a month and it does a good job on fleas and keeps flies off the dogs.I use 4cc of tree ans shrub per 10 lbs body weight on the dogs straight out of the bottle.

Frontline plus works great for all insects (including fleas and ticks) Its kinda pricey but if ya only have a few dogs its not too bad.....Smartpakcanine.com has the best price
