Off Topic-Sad day for Michigan

Sometimes life just seems so weird. Sunday we had a college baseball game on the tv. The announcer talked in a monotone, and was about as exciting as a piece of wet white bread. I started telling my sons about one of the greatest baseball announcers of all time Mr. Ernie Harwell. I told them how my grandfather would watch the Detroit Tigers on the tv with the sound muted and listen to the game on the radio.

Then today I heard that Ernie Harwell passed. It is truly odd how some people touch our lives without us knowing their impact at the time.

Hmmm, maybe we all should tell someone who has made an impact on our lives thank you today.

Rest in peace Mr. Harwell, you brought a little boy and his grandfather closer together by making a simple baseball game into a life long memory.

They are going to do a tribute to him on Fox Sport Detroit tonight airing three different time slots. Should be pretty good.

"strike three!.....he watched that one go by standing there like a house on the side of the road !"

I thought it was pretty classy last night in the Twins vs. Tigers game that the at home Twins had a moment of silence for the Tiger broadcaster.
