fox

its sometimes hard to figure out if its a fox i know a gray fox will tap a tree like a coon i aint sure about a red fox if i had one i thought was running a fox i would find a fox pen and get where you can see and when the fox comes by and the hound comes have a shock collar on him and bust him good dont say nothing to him he will think the fox did it to him put him in the box take him to where you can tree a coon if you can knock it out to him if not really praise him on the tree then take him back to the fox pen in 2 or 3 days and try it again he will soon learn not to mess with a fox if he hard headed might take a few times jmo

id be looking for a white tail infront of em, fox like to circle, not saying one wont straight line it, but for the most part they like to circle back, a coyote is more likely to straight line it, but they to like to circle if givin the chance

I agree with this guy, I doubt it would go 3 miles if its a fox. A male coyote might this time of year, a female will try to stay in the same section if she has pups, but she will try to lead a dog away. My vote is male coyote or whitetail
