I have a new LED head. most of my buddies are useing them now and I have had the opportunity to see about all of them used in the woods. Prolly not a bad one in the bunch. All of them are bright enough especially for summer hunting with the leaves on because lets face it, most of these summer coons are found with a dim light shining for eyes, not by spotlighting them. And that brings up my one and only signifcant dislike for the LED heads. You cannot adjust the flood of the beam. They may have a tight spot or they may have a wide flood but whatever it is, that is what you are stuck with. There is no adjustment. In the summer, I have always started shining with a low power and a wide flood to try to light up the eyes. Then if that doesn't work, I tighten the spot and turn up the power. With the LED head, I really miss the ability to be able to adjust the spot from wide to tight. I suppose someone will eventually figure out how to adjust the spot on these LED's then we will all have run out and blow that big money again.
