Off Topic- bragging on my son
My 13 and 10 year old sons are shooting a kids archery league. The league is broken up into AA, A, B, and C classes. My 13 year old is in the AA class and brings home a 2nd or 3rd place ribbon every week. 1st place is usually taken with a perfect score. My 10 year old son is in class A. He has been bringing home a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place ribbon every week.
This archery league has kids of all ages. There are some pretty small kids shooting, but everyone really seems to be having fun.
Saturday as my youngest son walked back from getting another 1st place ribbon a small boy half his size looked down and and made the comment that he hadn't gotten a ribbon yet. My son without hesitation handed the small boy his ribbon and said here ya go this is for you getting better every week.
That there is one of those dad moments that just completely wash over all those other moments.
The only bad part is now since my youngest scores have also improved so much he is now in the AA class shooting against 12-14 year olds. All I can say is his big brother better be careful.
