Stick with my beep..beep

At first I was very envious of all you garmin owners. But the more I read about bugs and malfunctions with it and range capabilities. The more I want to stick with my quick track system and just listen to the beep..beep.

I felt the same way until I got one in my hand's. If your needin a 20 mile range your also needin a better dawg. I have had the same Johnson setup for rite around 22 years & it is comfortably resting awaiting the arrival of dust.

These Garmin's are the $h!t especially in the terrain we hunt. Already has saved numerous walkin mile's in deep snow by knowin what side of the ridge they are on or how much closer they are to another road or lane.

In a month I have put this thing thru the test & I'm extremely pleased I finally allowed modern technology the chance to show me! I'm as stubborn as they come about the old "IF IT'S NOT BROKE DON'T FIX IT THING". I figured out how to run it & have never took the owners manual outa the box.

To be it is awsome training tool as well as a way to see what's really goin on by who? You'll never go back once you get one...............

GARMIN is the only way to go. I no longer GUESS exactly where my dog is..I now KNOW where he/she is.

I can get 2-3 miles off of my Garmin...right at a mile with the short antenna alone. And that is in some ROUGH, East Tennessee country.

I beleive 90% of the problems on here are user malfunctions. Every time Im at a hunt and a guy says I hate this thing it never works, I show him what he is doing wrong and it works fine. If you ask me its like a kid learning to walk. Its a little different to do at first but once you learn it is very rewarding. Ive had mine for a year now with not one single malfuntion.

If I had to go back to the beep-beep I would probably quit hunting. I think that much of my garmin. And about the changes coming i cant hardly wait, but i cant hardly see how they can improve a whole lot. You just keep hunting with your beep-beep...

Went hunting with my buddy last night, he still uses a beep-beep. Cut dogs my dogs treed 900 yds south 100 yds off another road, my buddys dog treed he said about a quarter right handed, he walked half a mile crossed a road and the dog was abbout 50 yds off the road. Now unless u just like walking to stay in shape, what would u rather have done. I drove to within 100 yds of my dogs..And needless to say he is ordering him a Garmin today..

I REALLY REALLY HATE my Garmin sometimes..... It LIES to me more than my dog does. It tells me all the time DOG HAS TREED QUARRY... Just to find once I get there NO QUARRY...... I'm thinking about going back to my beep beep. At least all it every did was say my dogs were treed........

There is no body like Valley Creek

to buy your garmin from or anything else for that matter.

I know who ya'll are gonna say to buy from.

But I bought my old system from Redgy, Countless Collars, Lights, there is nobody better to deal with.

Just be a human and call and talk to him.

Garmin Astro is the Safest hunting tool known to a coonhunter who really cares about hunting/training his dogs.

I know a goverment official who has "post it notes" all over the screen of his computer. I do alot of his computer work for him, he wont change his ways, and one day I'll carry 2 Titles on my Name

GET WITH IT !

garmin

no probs with mine. any questions i've had are explaned in the owners manual. greatest invention to ever come along for houndsmen. who in the world would need a 20 mile range???i would say if you need that kind of range you need to invest in tritronics....lol

I didn't say I didn't like them, I love the idea, I'm just not convinced all the bugs are out yet. Marine radios kill them, lights effect them, and rough terrain is hard to get a signal. My quick track maybe antiquated but it doesn't let me down. That's all, it just seems like garmin still needs some work.

I am by no means an electronic guy, have had a garmin for almost 3 years, havent had any real trouble yet.

They are quirky no doubt, and surely they will greatly improve over time, but IMO they are well worth double the $$$ the way they sit right now.

Beep beeps, find lost dogs Garmins change how you hunt.

Marshalls gps system will not be half as good as garmins, I near guarantee it. My guess it will be around 800 to 900$ as well.

Garmin is where it's at. Best thing even invented since the coon light
